The next Kiwanis of Durango meeting will be at noon on Thursday at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
The guest speaker will be Sylvester Allred, author of the children’s book, “Rascal the Tassel-Eared Squirrel,” who will give a presentation about the tassel-eared squirrel, which is native to Southwest forests.
