The Kiwanis Club of Durango will meet at noon Thursday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
The speaker will be Bob Griffith, a former radio broadcaster and music historian who grew up in Detroit listening to Motown and soul music. Griffith will present a multimedia show about the late “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin.
Guests are welcome. An optional lunch will be available for $13.
