The Kiwanis Club of Durango will meet at noon Thursday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.

The speaker will be Jason Armstrong, assistant director of Southwest Center for Independence. Armstrong oversees the Southwest Rides program, which strives to meet the needs of people with disabilities through providing transportation to medical facilities, physical therapy clinics and more.

Lunch is $13. A beverage without lunch is $3.

The meeting is open to all.
