Know Your Dough, a nonprofit that provides tailored, in-person financial wellness programs for local youth, is in need of volunteers to teach programs to elementary, middle and high school students.
Ideal candidates will enjoy working with youth and/or have knowledge of the financial services industries, such as accounting, banking and investing. The organization is currently scheduling programs for the spring in the Durango and Bayfield school districts.
Students will learn about Needs & Wants; Saving & Budgeting; Debt & Credit; Investing; and Protecting Your Money. Programs typically last five hours and meet for one hour per day for an entire week, during regularly scheduled social studies classes.
