Bayfield kids competed against some of the best and brightest in the nation earlier this month at the National Academic Championship in Washington, D.C.
Going up against private academies with names like Valhalla, Briarcliff, Owosso, and St. Mark's, the BHS Knowledge Bowl team won two rounds and lost four, an improvement over last year's performance in nationals. They lost some of their rounds by only five points.
The team won the regional title in March and took second in state in April. The members were in Washington May 27-June 1.
"We could not be prouder for the incredible opportunity our kids have experienced," their parents said. "Thank you, Tara, for your dedication that you have given your kids."
