Fort Lewis College administrators tabbed women’s basketball senior Ashley Kuchar and football senior Evan Wagstrom as the school’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Scholar Athletes for 2014.
Kuchar was a 2014 Academic All-American and the 2014 RMAC Academic Player of the Year. She graduated from FLC cum laude with a 3.95 grade-point average and a psychology degree while also finishing in the top 10 on FLC’s career assists, points, steals and 3-pointers lists.
Wagstrom started on the offensive line for four years at FLC, graduating from FLC magna cum laude in December with a 3.87 GPA and a degree in European history. He was a three-time RMAC all-academic selection.
To be eligigble of the RMAC Scholar-Athlete award, athletes must be a reserve or starter, carry at least a 3.30 GPA and have participated at the school for at least two years.
