The eight-stage race will begin Saturday and conclude 1,343 kilometers later on June 19.

The first stage won’t be a prologue as usual this year. Instead, the tour will start with a 178-kilometer loop beginning and ending in Kusnacht with 2,810 meters of elevation gain along the way.

The fourth stage will leave Grenchen and end 191 kilometers later in Brunnen after gaining 1,938 meters of elevation.

Stage 5 will feature 2,950 meters of elevation gain over 193 kilometers from Ambri to Novazzano.

Riders will then have their biggest climbing day. On Friday, the cyclists will climb 4,208 meters over 180 kilometers, from Locarno to Moosalp.

The following day, for Stage 7, they’ll climb another 2,190 meters over 196 kilometers from Ambri to Malbun.

The tour will then conclude with a time trial June 19 on 25 mostly flat kilometers that will decide victory or defeat.

Kuss will be joined on Team Jumbo-Visma by Robert Gesink, Rohan Dennis, Sam Oomen, Timo Roosen, Mike Teunissen and Pascal Eenkhoorn.

Joining Simmons on Trek-Segafredo will be Gianluca Brambilla, Dario Cataldo, Markus Hoelgaard, Alexander Kamp, Simo Pellaud and Otto Vergaerde.
