The La Plata County Democrats recently formed a new subcommittee, The Club – La Plata County Democrats on the Move, to host community events that encourage people to learn about and participate in the democratic process.
The group will host luncheons with guest speakers on the first Tuesday of the month at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio. The next presentation, “Dark Money in Politics: Influencing Campaign Outcomes” with speaker Lisa Pool, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 7.
