The La Plata County Fair Board will proceed with a limited fair schedule, featuring 4-H and FFA shows and the annual junior livestock auction.
Many of the other traditional events, such as the carnival, demolition derby, rodeo, barbecue and dance, as well as all public exhibits have been canceled in response to the current health guidelines and group size restrictions.
The 4-H shows will begin Saturday with the horse show and will continue through Aug. 8 with the junior livestock auction. The livestock auction will be presented to buyers both in-person or via telephone.

All social-distancing protocols will be enforced and masks will be required while on the fairgrounds property.
