The 15th annual “adopt-a-thon,” a special pet-adoption event, will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3, at La Plata County Humane Society and Thrift Store, 1111 South Camino del Rio.
All adult-animal adoption fees will be reduced. Adult cats will be $10, and adult dogs will be $50.
The thrift store will be open and offer sales throughout the weekend-long event.
Burgers and brats from Sunnyside Farms Market and beverages from Coca-Cola will be available for purchase.
