La Plata County Humane Society will host the 12th annual Bark and Wine Fundraiser Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 9 at Fort Lewis College Grand Ballroom, 1000 Rim Drive.
The evening will include a live and silent auction, photo booth, presentation of the Animal Advocate of the Year award, sit down dinner and music.
Money raised will go toward remodeling the kennel, which needs repairs and upgrades. The 22-year-old kennels have served the dogs well, but have seen a great deal of wear and tear. Modernization will help reduce stress and improve the adoption experience for both the dogs and the community.
Tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased online or at the shelter. All guests will receive an LPCHS wine glass with complimentary libation.
