La Plata County is seeking volunteers to serve on the Lodging Tax Panel. The board administers the tourism fund to advertise and market tourism in La Plata County and provides an audited accounting of the fund to the Board of County Commissioners.
Board members will represent the tourism industry within the municipalities and unincorporated areas from which the tax is collected. Committee members will be appointed from these industries:
- Hotel, motel and lodging.
- Food, beverage and restaurants.
- The ski industry.
- Private travel attractions and casinos.
- Outdoor recreation.
- Tourism-related transportation.
- Destination marketing.
- Cultural events and facility groups.
