The La County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants for an alternate position on the Board of Adjustment.
This board hears and decides appeals to the county’s land-use system by an aggrieved party where it is alleged that there was an error in any order, requirement, decision or refusal made by an administrative official. The board also hears and decides requests for variances and special exemptions.
Applicants must be residents of La Plata County, with general knowledge of the community. Experience in fields related to land use, including but not limited to architecture, landscaping, engineering, construction, real estate or law, is required. Meetings are on an as needed basis.
