The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance finding an individual suspected of committing assault in Three Springs early Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office asked residents and business operators south of U.S. Highway 160 in the Grandview area, near Three Springs Boulevard ‒ as well as people who live or work in the 200-600 blocks of County Road 233 ‒ to contact the Sheriff’s Office if they have any information about the assault.

“We encourage you to contact us if you witnessed anything unusual, heard any disturbances, or have video surveillance that may have captured relevant activity,” the release said.

The Sheriff’s Office did not respond to phone calls Thursday seeking additional information.

The release said anyone who noticed anything suspicious while traveling on Highway 160 through the Grandview area between 1 and 3 a.m. Monday should contact the Sheriff’s Office.

“No matter how minor it seems ‒ please reach out,” the release said. “Even small details could be important to the investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Aaron Kyser.

The release did not include additional details such as what occurred or the status of any victims.
