The La Plata County League of Women Voters will hold a talk about the election process with Tiffany Parker, La Plata County clerk, from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 27 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Parker and Erin Hutchins, election administrator, will explain an election cycle to attendees, including registration, primaries, voting and counting votes.
Opportunities will be given for questions and to examine new voting equipment that will be used this year. Those who have wondered about the accuracy, validity or safety of elections are encouraged to attend.
