La Plata Family Medicine recently welcomed Dr. Peter Davenport.
Davenport is board certified in family medicine. He finished medical school at UTMB Galveston in 2003 before joining the Peace Corps and serving for two years in Togo.
He completed his residency at John Peter Smith in Ft. Worth, Texas, in 2009. He worked for 10 years doing family medicine clinic, inpatient care and emergency medicine in Marble Falls, Texas, until 2018 when he took a medical travel position in New Zealand.
He has focused on women’s health, adolescent medicine, acute care and dive/travel medicine and enjoys using his experience to provide full spectrum care for the entire family. He and his wife Brittney have two dogs with many more pets to come. He enjoys world travel, SCUBA, board games, electronics and aspires to have the smartest of smart homes.
