La Plata Youth Services will host its seventh annual Splash & Dash summer event from 8 .a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 21, at Rotary Park, 1565 East Second Ave.
The event will featuring a 5K and a 1K race, live music by LokiMoon, barbecue from Serious Texas Bar-B-Q and games.
Cost range is free to $20. Registration for the 5K and 1K opens at 8 a.m. Aug. 21. The 5K will start at 9 a.m.
Money raised will support the Communities-in-Schools Partnership program and school-based restorative practices.
