I wish the Herald would have informed us sooner about how to repel dirty fossil fuel companies.
If only we could have known that having a county commissioner advocating for cleaner environment would discourage the bloated, dirty oil and gas companies from interest in our area. We could have just installed a county commissioner anywhere it was desirable to reject them.
I wonder if that would have worked at, say, Standing Rock. They could have avoided upsetting the delicate sensibilities of the company that beat, shot, sent dogs and hosed the protesters.
Really, your only defense for the oil companies is Gwen Lachelt is a member of a concern that is for the protection of the environment?
She has been well- and soundly vetted, and I really think she can walk and chew gum.
