After watching the video from Gwen Lachelt, I feel the need to clear up some information. This video is a farce. Let’s get this right!
The beautiful water flowing in our rivers, the blue skies and landscapes we enjoy were here long before Gwen set foot in our county. Gwen’s video is laughable, and she does not get credit for what was here long before she planted herself here.
Now, let’s talk about what Gwen has done. She has put forward false information about gas and oil, perpetuating a tremendous loss in revenue to the county. We are flat broke. While we are losing county positions, Gwen parades up and down the streets of Durango in “protest,” never seen before, lowering the integrity of our community.
Gwen has lied about the Koch Brothers and AFP being behind the recall petition; she included gas and oil as well. Gwen brought in “special interests,” proving to us that she is not worthy of her position as county commissioner.
The proposed land-use code was an attempt to strip landowners of property and property rights as citizens of this county. We we will not be zoned, permitted, fined and regulated out of properties and rights like she did to the gas and oil companies.
The bottom line is that Gwen is corrupt and needs to be voted out of her county commissioner seat.
