Lavengood receives national recognition

Tamra Lavengood, clinical performance coordinator with Mercy Family Medicine, was recognized recently by the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus group for contributions to innovative primary care. Lavengood is with Adam Boehler, director of the CMS Innovation Center.

Tamra Lavengood, a clinical performance coordinator with Mercy Family Medicine, was recognized at the national meeting of Comprehensive Primary Care Plus in Baltimore for her contributions to improve and innovate primary care.

According to CPC+, “This year’s winners went above and beyond by engaging with their CPC+ colleagues around the country to share their successes, lessons learned, and best practices.” This year’s meeting was attended by more than 1,000 people.

An initiative of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, CPC+ is a national advanced primary care medical home model that aims to build more comprehensive care within primary care clinics.

Lavengood has been involved with CPC+ for the last 7 years.
