A virtual “Meet the Candidates” forum for Colorado State Board of Education, District 03, will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 30 via Zoom.
Participating candidates are Joyce Rankin (R) and Dr. Mayling Simpson (D). The forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of La Plata County in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Colorado and six other league chapters in the third district. Co-sponsors are Fort Lewis College, Four Corners Broadcasting and KSUT Public Radio.
KIUP 930 AM and 97.3 FM Four Corners Broadcasting will broadcast the forum live.
Durango Government Television (DGOV) will broadcast live on Charter/Spectrum Channels 191 and 981, over-the-air for antenna users on Channel 10.1 and livestream at www.DurangoGov.org/DGOV.
Voters may submit questions to candidates in advance or during the forum.
