League of Women Voters of La Plata County will sponsor an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at the new La Plata County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, 679 Turner Drive in Bodo Park.
The League of Women Voters was born in Seneca, New York, on Feb. 14, 1920. The La Plata County community is invited to join the league to tour the new election facilities and learn how the county processes ballots.
From 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, there will be a ribbon-cutting and a fair in the lyceum, lobby and breezeway.
