As a part of the Four Corners Lecture Series, the Hisatsinom Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society will present a talk by James Potter at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church, 515 Park St., in Cortez.
Potter will give a talk called “Photogrammetry and Beyond: Recent Preservation Efforts at the Ute Tribal Park.”
He will discuss the collaborative project between the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and PaleoWest Archaeology to assess a number of large sites in the Ute Mountain Tribal Park using photogrammetry to create detailed maps and 3-D models.
