Why has the MAGA movement seemingly usurped the American flag? Why has it become a symbol of hate and division? Our flag has been meant to be a unifying symbol for all Americans. It saddens me to see what it has come to mean in recent years.
Regardless of how you feel about the present administration, I think it’s time to celebrate who we all are as Americans, and not let our flag be one more symbol of a partisan divide.
I have never been one to fly the flag, but as we celebrate our freedom and independence, let’s show our pride in who we are as one nation and raise our American flags.
