We are writing as fifth-grade students, inspired to help animals that are being abused or treated badly.
It isn’t fair if humans have freedom but then deny giving it to animals. We totally agree that they shouldn’t chew things up, but that does not mean we have the right to hurt them.
Animals stand by our side, they comfort us, help us and save the lives of humans as well – shouldn’t we do the same? Animals have been treated badly for long enough. We believe that animals were made in this world to be companions.
Some people don’t understand why their pets don’t listen to them better; have you ever noticed the way you treat your animals? It could be because they’re scared that they might get hit or hurt because that is how they have been treated in the past.
We don’t believe most people abuse animals, but too many still do. We conducted a survey and most people agreed that animal abuse is not appropriate and should be stopped and that they would like to help stop it. Many people agree that animals should be free from abuse.
One way to help stop animal abuse is to increase the legal consequences. We want to make the law stronger and we think that people should not just have to pay a fine or go to jail, but both.
We deeply care for all animals and we hope you will too. Humans and animals unite as one!
