There is a very real chance that City Council could once again be filled with all 50-plus, retired, wealthy members.
This is not a true representation of Durango. We need diversity on council and Jessika is the perfect person to do that.
As a 39-year-old business owner and mom of two young boys, she represents what Durango is. She is hard-working, community focused, genuine and smart. The working class, the people raising families and small businesses in this town need a voice.
Jessika will give everyone a voice as she listens to all, puts everyone before herself and leads with integrity. We need someone on City Council that has waited tables here, taught in 9-R schools here, is raising a family here, has built businesses here, who understands what it’s like to struggle to live here – and all that makes Durango the best place to do all these things.
She will preserve the spirit and character of Durango all while pushing for smart growth, workforce housing and economic development. Join me in voting for Jessika Buell for City Council so we have a real voice representing our city.
