I wish to compliment Gail Harriss’ Jan. 19 letter (“Carbon fee, dividend offer a climate change solution”) underscoring the devastating economic downside of climate catastrophe ... and the potential economic upside of a carbon fee and dividend – with an additional important data point.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s En-ROADS simulator pits such a fee against countless other proposals intended to address the climate problem and corroborates it as by far the fastest and most effective measure currently on the table.
I urge readers to give the online simulator a try. It is free, fun and enormously informative.
