We are so close. (Feb. 3, “Colorado lawmakers optimistic about CORE Act’s chances”). The CORE (Colorado Outdoor Recreation & Economy) Act is going through the Senate now after passing through the House. Some 400,000 acres of Colorado’s lands will be protected by this act and our economy will benefit as well, by supporting more outdoor recreation that drives tourism.
These are all places many of you have visited. There will be land protected right here in the San Juan Mountains. Support our senators in their efforts to champion the act to get passed. Take the time to thank them for their actions and to continue pushing this act through to its finish.
This is our opportunity to pass crucial legislation that will protect our environment and lead to healthier communities and ecosystems. This is your chance to act and show your support for the CORE act. It will only take a moment of your time to let our senators know that you really care about what they are doing and to push them to stay on track. Please call Sen. Michael Bennet, 303-455-7600, and Sen. John Hickenlooper, 303-244-1628
