Letter: Engineer Bosmans will help city make better decisions

Over the past several years, the City of Durango has accomplished much. The City Council has also made some costly engineering mistakes.

All well-meaning people, the City Council has had to rely of staff – again, all well-meaning people – but it has been expensive to redo the Whitewater park and fields at Fort Lewis when they were not done right the first time. The city is currently facing construction of some expense to safely cross Camino del Rio, a possible parking garage, maybe a state-mandated bridge over the train tracks and other projects.

It would be really nice to have Olivier Bosmans, an engineer with management experience, as an advocate for the citizens of our community on the City Council. Bosmans will add a reasonable, competent and experienced voice to the City Council.
