I want to thank the Herald for the tribute to Snowdown in the paper.
Like many, I missed our cabin-fever reliever. I truly missed my January family of fellow Snowdown revelers and “Folliespians.”
This is not what I had imagined 2021 to be when we closed out the 2020 Snowdown celebration a year ago. What a year it’s been. I’m humbled by the resolve of our caregivers in life and yes, in death. I’m grateful for all that provide us with services. I’m saddened by the risks they have to take.
My heart aches for those that have lost loved ones. We are all coronavirus-weary. Now is not the time to give up. Now is the time to protect those you love, those you rely on, and those that you may not fully appreciate, yet they are there for you. May you stay safe and be well so that we can celebrate a future I still hold great hope for.
