Judge Anne Woods should be ashamed of herself.
Preston Pitcher worked as a youth leader at his church for 10 years while molesting boys that attended the church.
Judge Woods imposed four years of probation, but no jail time. Judge Woods argued that jail time would not help Pitcher receive the treatment he needs to heal.
The 6th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, as well as victims who spoke, all asked that jail time be imposed. Her statement, “I understand it might feel better if he’s locked up,” Woods said. “But I have a different analysis of what constitutes punishment.”
I wonder if Judge Woods has children. Does the Judge not understand the lifetime of pain that these boys will and have suffered? Is this the type of judge that we want in our community? Do the crime and pay no punishment for the pain you’ve inflicted on the innocent?
Her choice to give this monster a break shows that she has no compassion and does not care about her community. only criminals. Disgusting!
The man that cheated the IRS was given a far more substantial penalty that this child molester.
