Letter: Purgatory is offering less for more money

After skiing 30-plus years at Purgatory, I believe they continue to charge more and offer less.

The season pass “partner” locations have been cut to areas currently owned by the owner(s) and Monarch.

After skiing at Monarch, I would encourage the owners of Purgatory to visit there and see what a progessive ski area can offer: good food, updated infrastructure that can handle crowds, multiple partner areas as well as more perks – for a fraction of a Purg pass.

The proposed plan of expanding terrain with a new lift is last on the priority list! How about using that money for renovating the Powderhouse and Dante’s, maintaining the six-pack so it runs reliably all season?

And why is Chair 5 always closed? Chair 4? Don’t get me started.

Puragatory is going in the wrong direction!
