I was so glad to see a new business open in downtown Durango, an art gallery with a new twist.

Taking a Durango visitor into the gallery, I noticed patrons and the new owner’s brother helping them with information on the latest artwork. Both were not wearing a mask.

Before I left the owner and resident artist had removed his mask while in the main body of gallery.

In the past year, there have been many debates about who’s responsible for enforcing mask mandates: Law enforcement? Business owners? Do we need the mask police?

The only thing I can do is never enter that business again or take friends visiting Durango there. I do wonder if the new owners would care?
