Melissa Youssef is an experienced leader and financially competent member of our City Council.
I serve as a volunteer on the Strategy & Long-Term Finance Advisory Board, where Melissa has been the Council liaison. Her willingness to listen, engage in financial policy discussions and consider various viewpoints is excellent.
As a council member, and during her term as Mayor, Melissa reached out to the community to listen to residents, non-profits and businesses, to get their input and ideas. In addition, Melissa has shown proven leadership in improving financial transparency for the city through her role working with council on major decisions, such as the selection of a new city manager.
For these reasons, I hope you’ll join me and many of our fellow citizens in Durango in re-electing Melissa Youssef to a second term.
