As a proud American, I have lived during and through the times of the Watts riots and both Kennedy assassinations, as well as that of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Vietnam War, Kent State, the Rodney King riots, our cities burning, Watergate, 9/11 and other national tragedies.
Given that, I must say that I have never been so concerned and, candidly, frightened, for our country and its future as I am at this moment.
However, if there is one predominant thing that I have learned from our country’s past anguishes, it would be that anger alone is no prescription – to truly heal and move forward, we must all collectively work toward turning that anger into positive action.
