Letters: As a conservative, these things matter

Lauren Boebert earned the top line in the U.S. House race on the June 30 Republican primary ballot because she is the true conservative in this race.

I believe Republican delegates sent a clear message to Rep. Scott Tipton, who during his 10 years in Congress has voted alongside Nancy Pelosi far too often. Just this past December, Tipton voted with the Democrats to give millions of illegal immigrants amnesty and then voted to give them a billion dollars of our taxpayer money.

That same month, Tipton voted with Democrats on a 2,400-page, $1.4 trillion spending package that he didn’t even have time to read. Notably, Colorado’s other two Republican representatives in Congress voted against both of these irresponsible bills.

I’m voting for Boebert because it’s time to have a Republican represent us who votes with Republicans. Boebert will help send better bills to President Trump, she will help drain the swamp and she will help build the wall.

As a conservative voting in a Republican primary, these things matter to me.
