Letters: Call Sen. Gardner green and I see red

Sen. Cory Gardner is painting himself as an advocate for the environment, a stance he knows scores points with Colorado voters. His actual voting record in the Senate reflects a different story.

Since 1970, the League of Conservation Voters has been the gold standard for the public to evaluate the environmental records of all members of Congress. Sen. Michael Bennet’s lifetime score is 89%. Gardner’s score is only 11%.

Gardner voted to confirm President Trump’s appointment of Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt, who has overseen the largest elimination of protections for public lands and waters in U.S. history. He refused to support wilderness protections in the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Act. He voted to block limits on carbon pollution. I am red with anger about his green misrepresentation.
