With so much evolving and sometimes misleading information floating around about masks, I appeal to the Herald to help educate our community on the appropriate use of masks. Would you consider either avoiding the use of pictures of masks being worn incorrectly or noting in the caption when such an image is unavoidable?
We humans are rather susceptible to peer pressure, and the frequent representation of masks being worn incorrectly implies that it’s OK. Many of our residents value the use of masks in fighting this pandemic. We are looking to our community leadership to set the example of how to properly protect ourselves. The Durango Herald is one of those leaders.
