Thank you, Durango city councilors, for forcing me to expand my horizons. I have discovered many alternatives to shopping in Durango now that the idiotic masking rule is in effect.
When the people making up the rules don’t have any more intelligence than these people, question why you would even consider abiding by them. They figure that people must be stupid enough to follow their rules if they were stupid enough to vote them into office. They are proving to be correct.
I have found many alternate stores and shops in Ignacio, Bayfield and Cortez in which to do my shopping. I would much prefer to shop locally, but I can’t force myself to lower my self-esteem and give up my liberties in order to do so.
The fact that masks are claimed to be almost completely worthless in warding off the virus makes the stupidity of the rule really show.
