This multi-use building is wrong for a few reasons (“
First, it is going to change the street parking conditions of the neighborhood, causing problems for residents and their guests.
Second, it is just the wrong architectural design for the area.
Do we not have an architectural design review committee to oversee the preservation of historic neighborhoods? This building is not only hideously ugly by design, if the city is going to authorize a 50-foot-tall multi-use structure, at least demand that the design be compatible with the neighborhood.
The neighbors also have just concern about the loss of their privacy.
This design, ugly though it may be, would be better located on the north side of College Drive, not the residential side to the south.
This is just a very bad idea. Wrong location, terrible design.
The city must drive a stake into this idea before it becomes a trend.
