As seniors who don’t live in the Durango city limits, we are trying to find a way to support our Durango restaurants.
After taking advantage of senior hours at Albertsons and seeing a lot of empty space in the freezer aisles, and seeing that local restaurants don’t open for pick-up until 11 ( too long to hang around town), it seemed that if our local restaurants could prepare their specialties frozen, then they could either employ a limited staff to sell them earlier than 11 a.m., sell them through a local grocer or combine efforts and send out a truck to central locations in the county one day a week where we could pick up our orders.
