Regarding the April 25
While I appreciate the main spirit of his message about closing our communities to protect and save lives, I take offense at the cheap pot shots he took at his fellow Democrat constituents and leaders.
I understand navigating politics can be frustrating, but he signed up for the job of being a representative of his district. That district includes more than just the one-third that are registered Republican constituents. He is paid to collaborate on differences of opinion on policy in pursuit of a common good.
Democrats are not a foe to pit against. We share many common values together – the health and safety for ourselves, our families, our communities.
I ask that Tipton drops the blame game and accusations of partisan politics and works across the aisle, knowing he represents more than his own ideology.
In difficult times, we need leaders who can shine a light on cooperation and progress
I ask that he abides by the spirit of his own words, “We are all in this together.”
