Letters: Diane Mitsch Bush is a pragmatic leader

We hear it every two years: this will be the most important election ever. This time, I actually think that’s true – especially in CD 3. Diane Mitsch Bush is the clear choice. As an unaffiliated rural voter, I will be casting my vote for Diane because of her independent track record and reputation as a pragmatist. Lauren Boebert is hellbent on repealing the Affordable Care Act and has no plan to replace it. She’s far more interested in picking partisan fights than she is actually doing good things for Colorado, while Diane prefers to reach across the aisle and find solutions to bring prosperity to rural Coloradoans. In the middle of a global pandemic, protecting rural healthcare is vital in this election especially. Diane has a plan to help us. Diane will fight hard to protect coverage for pre-existing conditions. She will work to get more funding for rural health clinics and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program). And, she will work with Republicans and Democrats alike to lower the cost of prescription drugs, health insurance premiums and deductibles. When you compare our choices in Colorado’s 3rd District, Diane Mitsch Bush is the definite independent leader that we need in Congress. I’m a Colorado native raised in the tradition of the real GOP. I’ve lived and voted in CD 3 for the past five decades. I know Diane is the best choice for us.
