Letters: Grandfather hot springs into its glory

I lived in Durango for about 10 years. I recall much of its beauty and charm. The hot springs was one of my favorite places.

Now I read the local bureaucracy is trying to stifle and micromanage a historical and wonderful spot in your town (“Limits on noise, hours weigh on Durango Hot Springs,” June 19).

Music and celebration and most of all, a great place to swim (even in the middle of winter) are being compromised by red tape. I think it’s shameful of the powers that be.

Grandfather that place into its glory and let a great tradition continue.
