Local newspapers are important for a community’s culture; The Durango Herald excels in this role.
I would like to thank the Herald for publishing the column I have written, “Population Matters,” for almost 25 years.
This is the only newspaper column in the world (of which I’m aware) that focuses on aspects of human population.
Originally it appeared twice a month, then (blessedly) for most of its existence it has been monthly.
The Herald has decided to publish it quarterly; the last column was in November, so the next one will appear in February. However, there is so much happening in the world of population that I intend to continue writing these essays every month. If you would like to receive them monthly by email, please contact me at richard@population-matters.org.
Most important, please continue subscribing to and reading the Herald!
