Letters: Lauren Boebert is a Trumpian menace

In her recent letter to the

If Diane supported Medicare for All in 2018, it wouldn’t be a lie for her to not support it now. Even if Lauren is right on the facts, calling Diane a liar was dishonest and irresponsible. Lauren also accuses Diane of “falsely claiming I would take away health insurance from Coloradans.” Nothing in Lauren’s website suggests that she would preserve access to health insurance. In her letter, she says, “People with pre-existing conditions must be protected.” Yes, they must, but there’s no hint that Lauren would work to achieve that end. She says she “will never vote for legislation that will leave Coloradans without coverage.” How much coverage? Guess.

Lauren says she’s an avid supporter of President Trump and his policies. She’s committed to his style, too, full of bravado and bluster, flag-waving, calling opponents left-wing lunatics, ramping up divisiveness and failing to put forth constructive policies to repair and rebuild our fraying society. There’s every reason to believe that, if elected, Lauren would go along with the continuing relentless Trump-Republican campaign to repeal the Affordable Care Act or nullify it in the courts.
