Letters: Letters from complainers are unneeded

During these stressful times, when we all need to pull together and support each other and our community, I implore you not to print any further negative letters from writers like Robert Goodman – letters that I believe spread acrimony and misinformation.

Since the Herald prints so few days a week, perhaps you can choose letters with a more positive, useful or informative tone.

For example, I would like to thank all 30 employees of the Durango School District 9-R’s Food and Nutrition Department, who are preparing and handing out breakfasts and lunches daily to our schoolchildren.

Families are counting on these meals to make it through this extraordinary time.

So, thank you very much for supporting and caring for our children. I am grateful, as any of them could be my grandchild.

As for writers like Mr. Goodman, I just wish they would #BeSilent for a while and let the real helpers shine.
