Some of them may not have a large enough savings account to fall back on or insurance to cover them should they become ill.
Some tourists may come to Durango to experience a “rugged” Western city, but they don’t expect to leave here with a life-threatening illness. Nor should hardworking locals be expected to put their lives at risk from ill, unmasked visitors or locals who expect the risk to others is acceptable as long as they get a good hamburger somewhere and a “rugged” experience.
Widen your world, Mr. McMillan, and take some personal responsibility to help keep others safe. Like it or not, we are all in this together. It’s not just about you.
