Letters: Loving hands stitch needed Mercy gowns

Our local quilt store put out a call for people to sew gowns for the nurses of Mercy hospital. Our Mercy was in need of protective gowns for their nurses.

Quilters arrived at the back door of the shop, many with masks on, to pick up kits provided by a local company.

By the end of the day, gowns were made and taken to Mercy.

We will continue to sew gowns as long as the hospital needs our help.

We wrote messages of love and caring inside the gowns. When they were delivered, we were told, the nurses saw the messages and broke out in tears.

Support our hospital in any way you can – and a huge thanks to the distributor who donated the material and kits for us to make the gowns!
