Letters: Marsha Porter-Norton will get job done

My first interaction with Marsha Porter-Norton was when I volunteered as a FireWise Ambassador. What struck me about her was her ability to facilitate meetings where all voices were heard and each person’s contribution was considered, that resulted in good decisions and programs for the safety of our community. I believe that Marsha will apply the same fairness and skills to her role as county commissioner, where she will listen to each person, no matter whether they are Republican, Democrat, independent or unaffiliated. Having been born and raised in our beautiful and diverse region, Marsha has intimate knowledge of local needs, be it ranching, farming, manufacturing, business, seniors, recreation, and so on, and is committed to the success of our community through real solutions.

I’ve seen her accomplishments with FireWise and the Hermosa Creek Watershed project, and know that she isn’t just some talker, she’s a doer. Marsha has demonstrable accomplishments and will do what is required to get the job done.
